Relationships, Family, Work.. Living with ourselves and with others is not always easy. Do you find yourself arguing with your partner about little things or feeling constantly helpless about being a parent or connecting with your parents, or feeling like nobody will ever be able to understand you?

A compassionate and honest relationship with ourselves helps us to obtain balance and joy in our lives. And yet listening to and communicating our deeper needs in an authentic, compassionate way is something our current culture and society does not teach us.

What will I learn?

The practice of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) offers simple but extremely powerful tools , to better understand ourselves and each other and to find solutions that work for everyone through observation, compassion and honesty.

In this introductory course of 8 meetings for beginners, we will examine:

- How to communicate with sincerity and honesty without  judgement or criticizing?

- How to listen to others with curiosity and presence which brings trust into the relationship?

- How to listen to yourself and recognize your deepest needs?

- How to find a connection in conflict?

- How can empathy help us to understand our uncomfortable feelings?

- and much much more!

In a beautiful and relaxing venue in North London, we will gather and create a safe environment, to practice the NVC method and language if life, together through demonstrations, role-plays and exercises. You will be invited to work with real-life examples from your life for an interactive experience and a real integration of NVC philosophy and skills into everyday life.

For anyone who wants to get to know themselves and others better and discover practical tools to deepen relationships, resolve both personal and business conflicts in a balanced way, communicate with less hiding or manipulating, and increase the chances of finding ways to enrich your life.

No prior knowledge of NVC is required.

Emma Buggy: Is a CNVC certification candidate who has been studying and working with compassionate communication skills since 2015. She was a part of the organizing team of the NVC Global Online Festival, has run workshops and organised welfare teams at festivals such as "Moving Connection" + "Connections with Intimacy"  and other NVC Summer Camps and spaces both online and in person in the UK. Emma holds weekly practice groups and compassionate spaces such as The Empathy Cafe and The Intimate relationships community in London. She works with couples, communities and individuals to support intimacy to flourish and flow between people. Her aim is to bring love and compassion into the center of all relationships, inviting us to connect and welcome our humanity and authenticity into our everyday lives.

EVA: "This training was so valuable for me, it helped my understand myself and my relationships better. It brought compassion in areas of my life that were very judgment driven"

"I am beyond satisfied the way Emma led this training, there was passion and yet so much tenderness in the way she presented. It really motivated me to practice more self connection and express myself from there. I loved the meditations and the poems too!"

NIX: "My communication now comes from the heart and allows me to feel more authentically me so that others are better able to understand me. I now have an open conscious dialogue and relationship with those closer to me, which involves sharing our needs and feelings"

Andrew: "Emma is a wonderful facilitator. When attending her events I always feel safe, included, respected and connected to her and the other participants - and I always leave feeling expanded and with a warm glow in my heart. I know of no one better suited to sharing the wonderful gifts of empathetic communication. 100% recommended!"

Healing House N22 8 DH: (Near Bounds Green Tube / Piccadilly Line)  - a beautiful and relaxing venue with multiple quite and private spaces for us to practice in as a group or in pairs. The venue has a kitchen and garden space for us to use and we will provide free tea, coffee and refreshments throughout the evening. This space is truly magical and I feel blessed to be holding this set of workshops in such a wonderful environment which creates the atmosphere of being on a retreat in the middle of London!

How Much do I pay?

I use a sliding scale system in order to make this course inclusive and accessible to people from different financial circumstances to attend, whilst keeping it sustainable for me to offer the course. I also like that money is given to me as a form of gratitude for the work that we do together as it supports me to receive it more joyfully.

I am currently offering this training on a PAY WHAT YOU CAN basis in order to make this training available to a wider community of people.

Firstly I love that money is received as gratitude rather than simply an exchange, so I am happy that you pay a deposit of £90 to secure your place, and then you can choose how much you want to offer me at the end of the training. To choose this option simply pay the deposit and I will send you an email for the rest of the payment on November 8th / the last day of the training.

When paying at the end: I ask that you choose any amount between £300- £550 which takes into account, my time and experience and yet also feels comfortable and possible for you to offer so that you can attend this training. If this system is confusing and you prefer to be given an amount you can follow the guideline bellow:

£90-250 - MAKING IT POSSIBLE (Your attendance is welcome and we want you to join us!) 3 x spaces at this price range

£300 - COVER THE BASICS (covers the cost of hiring the venue, + advertising and marketing)

£450-  SUSTAINING THE COURSE (Sustains Emma's basic financial needs so that she can pay for her own living costs)

£550 - SUPPORTING LIFE=  (Supports Emma to treat herself and live beyond the cost of living / go on holiday this year / pay for the next course venue hire+ continue to offer courses in future)

£550++= supporting others on a low income + support the sustainability of running this course (the extra amount you offer will make this course available to 3 x people who have received a mostly subsudised ticket and may not have been able to attend otherwise.)

The course will run with a minimum of 10 participants, if this number is not reached you will be refunded or the course will postponed.
